  1. This is absurd. Her true score earned her that medal, and what BS they won’t consider new, conclusive evidence in revising their decision.

  2. Judges make a mistake on the routine difficulty.
    Appeal filed and accepted.
Appeal overturned for allegedly missing the cutoff by 4 seconds.
Appeal filed based on video proof that the original appeal was filed before the time limit.
Appeal denied because you can’t appeal a decision based on incorrect data.

Plus the issue with the incorrect score for another competitor by penalizing her for stepping out of bounds when it didn’t occur.

The system is broken and needs to be revamped.

  3. I wish for all three athletes to now decline the medal in protest.  They are Olympians and each of them deserves better treatment than this.  #dirtybronze

  4. CAS and the IOC about to fuck around and find out that there’s yet another sport the US excels at and that’s litigation

  5. Ok real question why is USAG inquiry just posted everywhere every day, isn’t there a similar situation for the Romanian gymnast?

  6. FIG’s decisions from the start *caused this mess*, and yet, they’re throwing the blame on the poor gymnasts, *that did nothing wrong.* This is ridiculous. Just give the athletes all a medal and fix your organization’s incompetence.

  7. Give them that stank medal back. It doesn’t define her value. Come back even harder next time for other world championships and make them look goofy.

  8. They should grind the medal 🥉 up until it is dust and mail it back in a ziplock bag. Kidding kind of.

  9. Yeah don’t give the medal back they can try and come get it. Do the right thing and give the three women medals

  10. Duh, USAG already knew this. This is all performative for them and just more fanning of the flames

  11. Sorry but that Gogean getting credited at the inquiry alone tells that the judging is broken and they’re corrupt as hell.

  12. At this point I don’t care who gets what anymore, I just want everyone on social media to stop throwing hate at my damn country as if we personally went to the US and took the medal away. Seeing trending xenophobic hashtags was stupid af, all while random people would dig up fake shit about Romania just to point fingers at a “villain”.

Had we wanted to take the medal for ourselves from the very beginning, we would’ve stated so, instead we asked for a shared medal statement and it would’ve all been good and done.

Instead we get #fuckromania trending on muskrat’s app, for everyone to see.
