I will always remember Sergi Roberto fondly. Somehow, someway he always managed to turn up in big games
Roberto might’ve not given close to as many memorable moments as players like Xavi, Iniesta, Messi or Ronaldinho but he has given arguably the most memorable moment of all time. CL wins have been memorable obviously but this goal just stands out more to me, you won’t ever be able to watch a barcelona highlight without this goal in it.
We always need Robertos in our squad. Players that can go to bench and have zero complaints, always positive vibes, lower salary than other superstars, but when they play they perform well and even clutch in many moments.
Roberto didn’t cause a single issue while he was here and was a good backup for several positions. Very valuable type of player. Not everyone has to be a super genius like Messi, Xavi or Iniesta to become a Barca legend.
It’s crazy how many times he got his contract extended because of ONE goal.
