I don’t know what’s the right way to put it but it looks depressingly peaceful.
That is excellent. I need to get up to Lincoln at some point, it’s just so difficult to get there from Gloucestershire.
I bet steep hill is fun in the snow.
My daughter starts uni there in a couple of weeks.
There are a lot of good pubs up there. Me and my friends went a few years back in December. It wasn’t snowing but it was a sunny icy day and sitting in those pubs with a real fire was excellent.
Such a lovely street. Looks like a nice place to live.
Shame that horrible house (not in frame) that has been done up ruins an entire historic cities look
Not long now until hopefully we get a few days or weeks of snow this year ❄️☃️🌨
Everything 2 foot above the ground looks beautiful. The lower 2 foot reminds you that it’s miserable.
Can’t wait for autumn/winter 💙
God, the Americans have rotted my brain. I was expecting either a person dressed up as Abraham Lincoln or a black and white cat called Lincoln. And yet I’m fully aware Lincoln is a place in, well, Lincolnshire. Blah.
Lots of cobbled streets in the town where I grew up.
Apparently, back in the day they were covered in a layer of compressed horse shit, which actually made for a pretty smooth and self-repairing road surface.
Omg imagine slipping on those cobbles. The bruise would be insane 👀
I can hear that Hovis advert music when I look at this.
Goodbye first-rate education, hello the University of Lincoln!
From earlier this year in the 20th century.
Modern day Lowry
I can feel my calfs burning just thinking of walking up that hill!
I cannot emphasise enough how little I’m looking forward to the UK winter…
