HomeUnited Kingdom(@FabrizioRomano) Liverpool potential plan for Giorgi Mamardashvili, already clear: he’d join Bournemouth for one season from Valencia. Mamardashvili would only join #LFC from 2025 after #AFCB season. Giorgi already accepted the Liverpool plan and contract terms.

Up there with one of the weirdest transfers Liverpool have done.
Alisson is only 31, and has 3, maybe 4 seasons left at the very top level, and Alisson hasn’t showed any signs of slowing down. He’s a top 3 GK in the world.
Mamardashvili is 23, and good enough to play for most UCL sides. The fee for him would surely be £40-50m.
Also — maybe it’s a shift away from Klopp, but Mamardashvili isn’t the greatest with the ball on his feet. His distribution and passing aren’t his strongest traits, as opposed to Alisson, who’s very good doing that (I have no idea how Slot plays btw)
Interesting move.
Seems like Liverpool are trying to bypass the premier league rules around signing a player then immediately loaning them to another premier league team
If they have an agreement to sign him next year but have control of his destination this season then it should be treated as though they signed him now not in a year and this loan would be against the rules
Ex Bournemouth sporting director now at Liverpool sanctions slightly unnecessary purchase of first team level goalie for Liverpool with plan to loan them to Bournemouth for first year.
Interesting, interesting.
I can see two wisdoms here.
1 – Agreeing a price early means Liverpool have got him for cheap (when next season he’d probably go up to 40-50m)
2 – Loaning him to Bournemouth means he can get first hand premier league experience should the need to replace Alisson or Kelleher arise in 2025, and if not then Liverpool can simply sell him for an almost guaranteed profit
Will someone please for the love of god put Richard Hughes on a coach straight back to Bournemouth, he’s actually fucking awful at his job.
It’s all very surprising to me. I guess Alisson is off to Saudi next summer and has already communicated that to the club?
Pool doing a Bayern type transfer where move to a mid table club then to them. Alisson to Saudi soon

Is he really gonna start over Neto?
