I reckon Chris Barrie does, and Brian Cox too. The actor that is.
I’m rather keen on castles.
My favourite castle and beach is Bamburgh it is so peaceful and the village is just perfect.
I want to visit here so badly! Definitely gonna do it before the end of the year lol
Must be the reason why I’m king of my castle. Must be a reason why I’m making examples of you
Love a castle. We often go Castling. That looks like a cracker
Edinburgh Castle is a rip-off, Caernarfon Castle, on the other hand, is proper knights and fairy-tales.
Everyone at r/castles does, including the bots, probably
Bamburgh is a very good castle

It’s awesome when my king needs protecting from the other chess pieces.
Never mind the castle, look at the beautiful Cricket pitch!
Always staggering just how much work went into building a castle. It boggles my mind the construction techniques used, where the stone had to be shipped in from.
Fucking love a castle me.
I seem to remember there being some memorabilia in the corner of bamburgh castle in the aviation museum shed. There’s the engine or something of the plane that dropped one of the bombs on Japan back in WW2.
Who doesn’t? It’s part of being British isn’t it? Getting excited for a day out to a castle!
Who doesn’t!?
Arundel castle does a cool medieval festival every year.
I love castles, I hate that the Romans always seem to build them so far away from the car park though, just bad planning.
Excellent Castle. Also worth going down to Seahouses for Fish and Chips while you’re there. You won’t regret it.
Roy is my favourite
Chess players. I though quite like looking round the ruins of old castles.
I absolutely bloody love castles.

Bamburgh is a belter of a castle
Beeston Castle in Cheshire is really good!! Immaculate grounds and plenty of amazing views and history. Short walk to the shady pub on the canal too cracking day out!!
Castell Carreg Cennen is fantastic! It’s built on top of a mountain with incredible views (in good weather), it’s on the side of a cliff, and it has a cave which leads deep into the mountain itself! That cave once led to an escape route, which you can still see from outside the castle, but it’s been filled in towards the end.
I spend a lot of time talking about this castle at work for someone who doesn’t work in that castle.
Love them. I prefer ruined ones over intact ones though.
Whenever I went on trips with my family, I used to get the English Heritage guidebook, go to the map, and see if there were any we could divert to on our way to or from anywhere. My Mum and my brother didn’t enjoy it but my Grandparents and Dad did, one of the few times where he doesn’t seem miserable.
I still do similar now and would love to check off all the accessible ones.
Who doesn’t?
what mad lad stuck a clock on there?
Caught an amphibious ‘duck’ to one of our local castles last week.
