Saw this gentleman in Paris taking photos with his medals in front of the Arc de Triomphe. Any idea who he is? Looked like he had 2 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
It looks like he has a gold, silver, and bronze from Paris and his other 3 medals are from Tokyo.
Edit: Now I look at the design of the medals on the red lanyards, it looks like he is modeling each of the Olympic and Paralymic medals from Paris 2024.
It’s Tony Estanguet, the ex-French olympic athlete who won many medals in Kayak and was this year in charge of organising the Olympics and Paralympics games in Paris. He gave speeches in the opening and closing ceremonies.
