Ukrainian forces pushed on with their major cross-border advance into Russia’s Kursk region for a second week, claiming that they took more ground, captured more Russian prisoners and destroyed a bomber in attacks on military airfields.
Recall, the surprise Ukrainian push into the Kursk region that began Aug. 6 has rattled the Kremlin. The daring operation is the largest attack on Russia since World War II and could involve as many as 10,000 Ukrainian troops backed by armor and artillery, military analysts say.
Ukrainian defenders continue to advance in Russia’s Kursk region. Since the start of August 14, the Defense Forces have captured over 100 Russian soldiers.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported this to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Ukraine’s army chief, Ukrainian forces have advanced by one to two kilometers in various areas of the Kursk region today, capturing more than 100 Russian soldiers during this period.
Security Service of Ukraine’s officers also said they captured over 100 Russian soldiers in Russia’s Kursk region. Among the prisoners are soldiers of Kadyrov’s Akhmat unit, according to RBC-Ukraine’s intelligence sources.

Get headlines correct. Solders captured or who surrendered are Prisoners-of-War [POW]. They might be exchanged for Ukrainian POWs via IRC or other brokers. Russia takes hostages dual-nationality or international passport holders "hostage" on trumped-up charges to exchange for spies and murders.

The heading is misleading. An army division has between 10000-15000 soldiers. The post shows nothing like this number being captured or surrendering .
Putin and his cronies treat them like shit so it's no surprise they surrender. And they can be used as valuable leverage to persuade their Russian families to call for Russian withdrawal.

I agree with other remarks about the incorrect use of military terms especially in the title pages of the videos. Hundred or thousand captured soldiers are far from a division. Although a division has not exact figures, you may think from four or five up to ten thousand.
