  1. I do start to get worried about the future when they put me on my knees next to a tarp and shovel.

  2. Its insane to think this is supposed to be a “modern army” the amount of drunken people and other shit they do during this conflict.

  3. What does avatars mean in this context? I saw it explained in another posts comment but have since forgotten the meaning.

  4. That’s NATO propaganda! Ivan & the boys never get drunk, I swear! We just had our daily dose of puddle water mixed with Meth…

  5. Soldiers usually bond and fight for their brothers in arms… not so in the RF army apparently

  6. in ww1, russian soldiers captured in bulgaria a train with alcohol (wine). Many russians died happy, and as their officer said: there is not a better death for a russian than drown in wine

  7. Ukraine should leave stockpiles of vodka in their trances. Then let Russians move in and capture a lot of drunken pows a few hours later. Or would that be a chemical weapon?

  8. “Listen you stupid fuck do you see what you caused” has a universal stance I see.

I cant speak a lick of Russian but I could atleast gather the jist

  9. These might actually be secret anti-war heroes who sacrificed themselved and their legacy to undermine Putin. Except that its a normal occurence at this point so we shouldnt view any Z fighter as noble

  10. I dream about the Ukrainian tanks to drive over these scumbags on their way to Moscow.
Zero respect, zero dignity. Murdering one another!

  11. In WW2, as the rampaging Russian Army advanced into Germany, it was said that drunken “[Russians soldiers raped every German female from eight to 80](https://www.theguardian.com/books/2002/may/01/news.features11),” among other atrocities …. looting etc.

Alcohol is a major problem in Russia – civilian life and the military. In fact, [25% of all Russian men die before the age of 55 years, compared with only 7% of UK men](https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2014-01-31-russian-men-their-vodka-and-early-deaths). The difference is due mostly to alcohol and cigarettes.

For many, the SMO is an opportunity to get away from their alcohol permeated dreary lives and have a little adventure and make some money! Risk of dying has a different meaning when life spans are less than 55 years from many Russian men in poverty stricken areas – great cannon fodder material for the Russian brass and their lack of concern for of loss of life.

  12. for those wondering “avatars” are those who abuse substances until they turn blue

  13. It’s pretty insane to think that all those old Soviet stereotypes and parodies about russians were true.

Up to the top of the food chain. They actually are that cartoonishly corrupt, incompetent and evil.

  14. I am saddened to hear only one of them died.

May they all be completely fucked to death very soon.

  15. Are the ruzzians calling themselves “avatars” to dehumanize themselves?

Its normal to dehumanize the enemy it makes it easier to fight. But you don’t normally dehumanize your own troops. We’ll take red on red any time we can get it though.

  16. What’s going on there? Is that after the incident? Can we get a translation?
