When an army panics and sees a line of retreat, they get slaughtered in the process. The traffic jam of retreat is a death trap, and distracts the enemy from fighting to the end.
This will be interesting if Ukraine can pull it off. If so, putin’s face is about to get even more red. And the west can hold it’s breath, because Ukraine is apparently tired of being kept on the defence.
Well they had plenty of time to leave and knew the bridges where going down.
Looks like the Russians are about to get Seym-ed up.
With all three bridges now destroyed, a battalion with a large number of Russian troops either fights to get across, surrenders, or possibly becomes cannon fodder.
After the destruction of the Glushkovsky district bridge, Russians will have to evacuate the area below the 3 x marked (on the map) himars destroyed bridges. The risk of isolation is very high.
