What is mpox and how is it spread? | BBC News

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the mpox outbreak in parts of Africa a public health emergency of international concern.

The highly contagious disease – formerly known as monkeypox – has killed at least 450 people during an initial outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

It has now spread across parts of central and east Africa, and scientists are concerned about how fast a new variant of the disease is spreading and its high fatality rate.

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the potential for further spread within Africa and beyond “is very worrying”.

  1. Mpox appears to be spreading now amongst some sexual and social networks of Gays and Bisexual men and men who have sex with men (MSN)fact.
Did not HIV and AIDS spread the same way and was introduced to the heterosexual through bisexuals
What more proof does a logical thinking individual need to determine that being Gay having same sex partners is unhealthy, wrong and a danger to humanity.

  2. …you would think they would send the vaccines immediately to the source, but noooo, they will stockpile and sell to the highest bidders yet again, corrupt fucks!
