Blinken: possibly ‘last opportunity’ to release hostages and secure Gaza ceasefire

The US secretary of state, Antony Blinken, said it could be the ‘best and last opportunity’ to get hostages held in Gaza home and secure a ceasefire as he arrived in Israel on a diplomatic mission.

After landing in Tel Aviv, Blinken was quoted as saying that it was a ‘decisive moment’ for the negotiations. The push comes amid heightened fears of an anticipated Iranian and Hezbollah attack against Israel and the threat of an all-out regional war

  1. Hamas knows where possibly 30 odd hostages are, but not the rest. That's what I think. The rest were kidnapped by civilians. Many in houses of terrorists killed. Previously in one of the deals Hamas offered 33 hostages back. Two days later said not 33 but 32. Why? Most likely because one of the 33 had died.
While the vile pro palestinian marches continue, governments doing nothing about it. Those participating in these hate marches, don't spare a single thought about the innocent hostages.

  2. The Americans could have stopped this genocide 9 months ago by stopping arms shipments to Isreal.
It also sounds like the Americans are trying to keep Iran from retaliating.

  3. The only reason why the Biden- Harris administration wants a ceasefire is because it wants to use the ceasefire to enhance its chances to win in the next election. In the same breath, neither Israel nor Hamas wants a ceasefire albeit for different reasons. Israel doesn’t want a ceasefire so that it can completely destroy Hamas on the battlefield. Hamas doesn’t want a ceasefire either because the war brings attention and sympathy for the Palestinians at an unprecedented level that has never been seen before.
Since neither side of the war wants a ceasefire, it doesn’t matter what Blinken does or says. He’s wasting his time.
