I remember at one point at Austin airport in Texas we were waiting for 30 minutes in a line that wasn't moving. Apparently the TSA there were asked to pause the processing of passengers for some reason. Glad airport security in Japan took their job seriously.

Metals must be detected before a pair of scisors are lost, but the japanese security in the airport did the right thing and gave zero chance for trouble makers.
