I mean, if you want to make something clear, just fucking say it instead of spinning around it like a beyblade
Are you sure about that, sir?
Reminds of the time in the Korean war, where a British army officer politely said “Things are a little bit sticky here” on the radio to the US general. The American saw it as “well, it’s fine”, when in reality, the British were about to be overrun and killed by the enemy. They didn’t got reinforcements or order to retreat, so they were almost all captured or killed by the North Koreans in the battle.
I prefer the straight speak of germanics, and Hungarians.
So Barry, what do I really mean if I say this kind of polite small talk is useless in real life? 😀
Good book. The savage learns
Oh, by the way, this table is an original point of view
“The English is too polite to be honest, the German is too honest to be polite”.
Jan is a German with a speech impediment who shouldn’t use public roads, but he is not generally stupid. I’ll side with him over that liar Barry who says one thing and means the opposite.
I love the stories of British exchange students starving in Germany because they expect to be asked 100 times if they want something to eat before saying yes.
