  1. I didn’t know that you could shoot in the direction of flight with the helicopter. It’s a pity that you can’t see the muzzle flash.

  2. Nice footage. Wild aircraft design that the smoke from the rounds are now in the cockpit though.

  3. This conflict is such a bizarre mash-up of past and present that it’s basically like a greatest hits compilation. Now That’s What I Call Post-Industrial Warfare!

  4. Much cheaper than spending anti-aircraft missiles, very good

One of the coolest videos of the Mi-8

  5. How is he aiming, by tracers? Can’t imagine it’s possible to use hindsight in this posture.

  6. I’ve seen a shitload of Mi-8s in my day and never once have I seen this kind of forward gun mount.

  7. You know air defence is going well when it’s a dude in the nosegun of and Mi-8. If it works, it works, I guess.

  8. After 18 months of discussion with enlisted Russian service members, Russian senior enlisted leadership, top brass, and even Putin himself it was decided it would be appropriate to make Multicam authorized for wear by Russian units in Ukraine…

I wrote this witty satire regarding Multicam, then read online that actually some Russia units have been wearing Multicam for a while, and also Russian camo/ uniforms is a bewildering mishmash of dozens of styles colors including copies of NATO designs which would make the US Navy blush.

  9. So this helicopter doesn’t have nose mounted gun outside as seen in others? Cost cutting ? what if in low light smoke in cockpit interfere with visibility

  10. How often does someone miles behind the line drop dead after taking a round from nowhere…

  11. Huh. At first I thought, *Never seen a cockpit mounted crew served weapon in a helo before*. Then he fired, saw all the smoke in the cockpit, and thought *Oh, that’s why*.

  12. the scenery in these videos, whether it’s the sky or landscape. Imagine bleeding out with birds chirping, looking into the sky. The beauty of mother nature as conflict is happening is eerie.

  13. Ahhh, I can feel the cordite fume poisoning coming on from here. Oh well, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do and put up with being sick later.
