This is the thing I hate the most about learning English
To be honest we can’t say we are very consistent either… Especially for grammar. The only exception is we made rules to explain it. Like a LOT of rules. When English are more : “Yolo, who give a f*ck”.
As opposed to Fr*nch, where you write a word with 12 letters and only pronounce like three of them.
*laughs in a phonetically consistent language*
Too bad, shoulda been the global hegemon for the 19th century then shouldn’t ya?
Imagine having a simple language with consistent pronunciation.

That is how much sense barrys make
People in Greece go 😲 when I say I speak Chinese and russian but I’m significantly more impressed that they can speak English. Nothing compares to the stupidity of this language
Alright Pierre, you can’t even count to 100 logically…
Well french was the diplomatic language actually
Imagine needing vowels to make a sentence
Barry tried to have a phonetically consistent language, but a quarter of the way through the process he got drunk and the result is clear to see.
Maybe the EU should do what the EU does best and finally regulate English for poor Barry.
And if you wanted a phonetically consistent language as lingua franca, Spanish would probably be the best option.
P. S.: We’re not very consistent either. In this aspect we do like the Fr*nch, we create rules and more rules to disguise the Portuguese inconsistencies.
English spelling is frozen in the 15th century, so what can you expect?
French is also disgusting wtf
Spanish should be the international language
So we have an excuse to spit on random stranger while talking?
Just talk Latin, the only right language
French writes a word with three vowels all together and then pronounce the other two.
Learn spanish, you don’t need to learn each word twice
Pierre you are just butthurt that you had to learn another language. Your language makes as much sense as a German at a comedy club. Spanish would be a way better candidate.
Every day I thank Barry for colonizing the world and forcing everyone to learn his franco-germanic bastard language because the alternative would be so much worse 🙏
The problem is not the language tho, it’s the alphabet because the one we’re using was created by PIGS 🤢🤢
imagine if english had a pitch accent. (it does but barely)
that’d be scary.
I have no respect for languages with a low level of transparency.
You’re all just dumb it’s so easy you learn it when you’re like 4
No, I dont want to say 16 syllables to say ‘please’.
Pierre, I’m not sticking with 4 times 20 18 for the rest of my life just to say 98
To be fair though this is not a real problem. You learn pronounciation listening to native speakers, and if you mess it up anyway, chances are you are close enough they understand what you meant.
Funny video tho
Spelling: bordeaoux
Pronounciation: ord’öö
I think it should be Latin because I think that even Barry 63, from Liverpool, would sound refined speaking it.
That is why most people with proficient English I know learned it from video games and those that only tried to learn it in school struggled with it and dropped it: it’s easier when you’re not trying to make sense of it

Agreed, but being French does not help either:
