Context: I’m doing a bit of family research and my 2x great-grandparent was a “Franciszek Maternowski” who was born (1897) and died (1981) in Bydgoszcz (Bromberg) in the German Empire. This is a record of German soldier casualties during WWI but I can’t for the life of me begin to comprehend Fraktur. The only words I recognize are “Maternowski” “Franz” and “Bromberg.”
Thanks!
