The good ole tactic of ill get you there, but your shit out of luck once you’re on the ground. As many videos have been out showing russian APCs and BTRs being shredded, I can’t blame them once they lose the extra meat shield

You came to kill and got killed. It is very satisfactory to see the murderes eliminanted, stay in orcistan blyat. You are not invited in UA.
They went in the wrong direction.. The firepower came from the side of the armored vehicle.. to the left of the infantry.. driving along the tree cover.. it was the driver’s mistake and then the infantry’s mistake.. and I think they were in the open and the ground was high.. which allowed those entrenched in the trenches.. who were well positioned at the bottom of the hill in a line of fire supported by a heavy machine gun.. or a machine gun on a tank and well hidden among the trees.. no chance for the others to escape.. the correct action.. should have been to scan the area with a drone and bombard it with mortars and attack from several axes.. and not underestimate the danger of those entrenched and their weapons..
I’m surprised that the the BTR didn’t run over any of the troops (again). Anyone know what happened to it as it seems to be driving towards the direction of Ukrainian fire?
Two survived out of a squad of 10 or so? We saw at least 6 killed and that’s the ones who managed to get out- highly likely that several were killed inside the vehicle and never managed to disembark. These vehicles are pretty shit and so is their doctrine/tactics. Why the hell you wouldn’t be using mortars/drones to subdue the target area right up until the APCs are 100/200 yards away I don’t know. That and then using the vehicle mounted cannon once you are within that distance to continue suppression of your enemy. Instead they do neither.

What’s going on with the doors on this BTR? The vehicle’s left door is visible at the 12 second mark and isn’t standard (I think?)
The standard BTR door is two-parts – there’s a lower flap that folds down and a small upper flap that opens on hinge like a normal door. The meet in the middle, halfway up the vehicle and follow the lines of the chassis. But this BTR seems to just have a single, large flat door on each side. Plus it seems to dislodge after the driver floors it and the door slams. Wonder if it’s a field modification to try and make it easier for the crew to exit? Wonder if it’s made of actual armour plate, or just some sheets of metal? Not that it would probably matter in this case, but still…
