    I love dragonflies and often watch them when out freshwater fishing.

    A couple of interesting facts:

    They have been around since the early jurassic period and can fly backwards / forwards / sideways / up/ down in a fraction of a second and at speeds of up to 35Mph. They can work out the trajectory of their prey to intercept them, and as such have something like a 95% kill rate making them the mosty efficient predators on the planet.

  4. For me this seems to have been a bumper year for Dragonflies, which has been wonderful for sighting many of them zipping around- and that’s a cracking shot, well done!
