So cool you can visualize the 2008 housing crisis and COVID
We just posting tables from excel with a default conditional formatting filter applied as beautiful data now?
Ah yes because presidents are 100% in control of everything during their term.
For as long as I have been alive it’s always been a democratic president coming in to clean up the mess from the prior Republican president
I love that the most consistent trend here is Republicans leaving a mess that the next Democratic candidate has to fix
This makes me think 2026 will be a boom year
1998… that’s just wild. Was in High School at the time so I was oblivious to it, but a federal budget surplus, 1.5% inflation, 4.5% GDP growth, sub 5% unemployment, and the S&P went buck wild for 29% growth… truly a golden age.
Can you provide your sources?
Main takeaway here is that presidents are irrelevant in this table, except when they’re really really freaking ignorant and incompetent and dismissive like Bush
It’s annoying that you can see budget spending trends worse with Republicans than Democrats consistently yet joe uneducated voter believes otherwise because of fox news entertainment and lies.
Damn trump wasn’t so bad after all
The unemployment rate doesn’t tell the whole story.
But both sides refuse to acknowledge the labor participation rate.
Could you add columns for house and senate control?
Trump spent a lot of money. Biden spends more money than ever. What would we do with a 0.73% inflation rate? That sounds fucking awesome for an extended period.
