  1. **From The Telegraph:**

Belarusian troops will not fight outside Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko has vowed, amid fears that the Russia-allied country could join the war in Ukraine.

“No orders to go [fight] outside Belarus have been given or will be given. We will fight only when someone comes to us with bad intentions. That’s it,” the Belarusian leader said on Thursday.

“I feel bad when I read reviews of the world’s media claiming various things about me,” he added. “They say that I might give an order to go into another country and this order will be fulfilled.”

On Sunday, Ukraine called on Belarus to pull back what it described as significant levels of troops and equipment deployed at their shared border.

Mr Lukashenko earlier said that Ukraine had sent more than 120,000 troops to the border — a claim denied by Kyiv.

Ukraine’s state border guard service said on Thursday that it had observed no further increase in Belarusian military activity near the border, but vowed to “remain vigilant” as the country remains a key Russian ally.

  2. I think ‘we won’t invade, pinky promise’ is a statement that can’t be be taken at face value at this stage…

  3. “Russian military drills are purely defensive and not a threat to any other country” (Putin, 18th Feb 2022)

  4. Since it’s an indisputable fact that dictators **never** lie, Ukraine can breathe a sigh of relief, right?

*“They say that I might give an order to go into another country and this order will be fulfilled.”*

What I find interesting in the fat man’s statement is how he apparently feels the need to say that if he *were* to give an order for Belarus troops to invade Ukraine, that would happen. I can’t imagine the president of the USA, the UK prime minister or the head of any other western democracy even implying there was some possibility that their military forces *might* ***not*** comply with orders from the top.

  5. Parks troops at the border with vehicles marked “B”, just like Russia is doing with their rusty pieces of junks… Why mark them then?

  6. The B on the vehicles seems a bit off to me; isn’t the Latin B written as V in Cyrillic?
Doesn’t make a hell of a lot of sense.
The original RFA markings were based on the direction they came from; Zapad, Vostok, etc so I don’t get the B.

  7. “I do not really control the country of which I am president so my proclamations are purely unreliable whether misguidedly sincere or coerced by Russia.”

  8. Yeh coz your people and army won’t support you if you do.

**Belarusian society has shown virtually no interest in joining Russia’s anti-Ukrainian crusade. While pro-Russian sentiment remains widespread in the country, there is little enthusiasm for the imperial ambitions underpinning the Russian invasion of Ukraine. On the contrary, many Belarusians feel a sense of solidarity with their Ukrainian neighbors, and recognize that today’s resurgent Russian imperialism poses a similar threat to their own country.**

**This mood has given rise to serious questions about the readiness of the Belarusian military to participate in Russia’s war. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, there have been** **numerous** **reports** **claiming that Belarusian officers are deeply reluctant to fight in Ukraine. If Lukashenka attempts to force them, there is a reasonable chance he will not be obeyed. This could destabilize his regime and lead to unpredictable consequences for the Kremlin.**

  9. He doesn’t want a subversive relationship with the West for technology transfers?

Russia wants that Iran to want that China wants that North Korea wants that Syria whats that.

  10. He might be a Russian patsy, but he isn’t stupid enough, and that will be the end of him

  11. Thé belarussian army Is like the italian army AT the start of ww2,unprepared,unequiped and untrained

  12. Don’t believe to this puppet man, NATO should secure the border in west Ukraine and intercept with artillery belarus troops if they try to go to Kursk. Are we going to make the same mistake again?

  13. This is and was a bluff from the beginning. Ukraine knows it too. This mf is too chicken shit to do anything to jeopardise his position. And loosing many thousand incapable Belarusian soldiers to Ukraine is one of those things. I can even imagine Poland chipping in.

  14. Lukashenko knows how to survive. First they announce that they shot down a Russian drone, now he says he won’t fight for the cause of his beloved brother Russia. Once this is all over, he’ll claim that Russia was a threat to him as well and that he had to comply with Russian demands in order to protect Belarus. The tendency of both announcements could be read as Luka not being sure anymore if Putin will stay in power very much longer.

  15. If he even just tried, a rain of tungsten balls would eliminate most of his „army“ before they got to the heavily mined, thick and partially radioactive forests of northern Ukraine, where the rest would disintegrate, along with his grip on power. No fucking way he is this stupid. I’m actually sort of cheering for it – or for terrorrussia to do something stupid from transnistria.

  16. I’m half expecting that this is just a try to get ukraine to cross the line or divert resources.

Or it is going really bad for russia (ncd would be blushing) with containing ukraines little tour of the new peoples republic. That they might also decide, bryansk looks ready to become a republic.

Only way I would trust shiny head is if official orders (that ukraine reports on first, they have friends in white russia) that they won’t attack ukraine unless they’re inside white russia. And then a public broadcast from shiny head they will not get dragged into the war.

No putin or kremlin being present or doing the same statements. That just means a false flag attack is imminent.

Btw. Have you noticed that putin combs his hair to look like he has more when near shiny head. And shiny head also got much thinner hair all of a sudden a while back.
