Bit passive aggressive for a place with no bins

  1. If there isn’t a bin handy, go find one, I know most have them at home at least, so folks will find one eventually.

  2. I do think it’s a bit cheeky of Forestry England to charge for the car park and then not provide so much as a bin, but that’s no excuse to leave poo littered about the place. Some dog owners (and you have to hope it is just dog poo) are disgraceful.

  3. The rule for forests is stick and flick 🤷🏻‍♀️

So many assholes hang their dog poo bags from trees 🤬🤬🤬

  4. Would you throw a diaper in the forest if there wasnt a bin, or would you bag it and throw it in the nearest bin.

Imagine throwing trash in the forest because “well, there isnt a bin around”.

  5. >The National Trust has removed waste bins to force dog walkers to clean up after their pets

I appreciate we’re talking Forestry England here but I’m sure it’s the same thought process. Never really made any sense to me. I work in applied behavioural science (most recently on anti-littering campaigns) and if you want less dog muck on the ground, this isn’t the way to go.

I’ll always take my dog muck home if there’s no bin – and put up with the stench – but expecting the majority of the general public to do so is naive.

  6. I do love Britain.

The place where the industrial revolution started. Birthplace of the steam engine, celestial navigation, the structure of DNA, the jet engine, the electronic computer, the suspension bridge.

But for some reason we can’t make a car park that works.

  7. Some random member of the public has put that there thinking it’s very clever of them, but in reality it makes them seem fucking dapped 😐

There’s a house on the main road near me with this taped in every front window. Highly unamusing 🤷‍♂️

  8. Anyone with half a brain cell knows that a sarcastic sign like that is just going to have the opposite effect.

  9. That sign is a bit passive aggressive.

For people asking why people want bins rather than being forced to carry around dog turds for the rest of the day – travelling home by bus, going to the shops or a cafe on the way are all good reasons. No one wants to smell a dog turd on the bus.

In life, you’ll always get better results if you make it easy to do the right thing – which in this case means providing bins.

  10. I love it when people post stuff like this because this is obviously the guy who lets his dogs shit everywhere. Just take it home! It’s not like your house isn’t about 90% dogshit anyway, there is not a single surface that hasn’t has a dogs asshole rubbed against it. Behind people that keep birds in cages, dog fanciers are the most selfish pet owners

  11. Im sure there will be a reason but why is animal poo bad in a forrest? If we had wild dogs that’s where they would be doing it

  12. The fact that no bin is provided for you doesn’t mean it’s somehow okay to drop your litter, or fail to pick up you dog shit.

  13. I’m hoping it’s only a small proportion of the dog owner community who wouldn’t dispose of dog poo responsibly. Not sure any kind of sign would make these people change their ways, least of all something written in a passive aggressive way

  14. Is it too difficult for dog owners to put their dog crap in a bag & take it somewhere that does have a bin? Why should everyone have to accommodate your mutt’s bodily waste? Maybe it’s time to bring back the dog license & you can pay a fee to keep a creature that you think brings you automatic entitlement rights to a free bin??

  15. God I hate the problem this country seems to have with litter, is it so hard to just take your litter with you and put it in your own bins?

  16. We end up putting it inside the petrol flap. So many places ask you to pick up but don’t drop ice bins. Makes no sense.

  17. Most places seem to be in two minds, in that stick and flick is advised in wooded areas, but in car parks bag and bin, which makes sense.

Personally, I would be inclined to deface said poster with a simple “What bins?” Or if there is a visitor centre ask if you can use their bin.
