The exodus to Nevada affecting elections is nothing new. The last Republican to win Nevada was George W Bush in 2004 and the state's been trending Democratic event before then.
I'd also include Texas and Florida as states that will be affected by the outflow of people from NY and California in this election.

It's just a misconception that all the people leaving from California are Democrats. Many of the ones leaving are Republicans who are moving for politics that fits theirs. The cost of living concern is valid, and that's a federal problem that neither party cares to solve seemingly. Also, to respond to the Karen wine lady, Nevada has no income tax, so that hasn't changed, and high property taxes are NOT a inherently Democratic thing. I know this as a Texan, a red state with some of the highest property taxes in the nation.
You can just repeat this story with Arizona
