[OC] Passing Touchdowns by location for the upcoming TNF QBS

In the regular season of 2023, Patrick Mahomes only had 2 passing Touchdowns of more than 20 yards, how much would this change this season with Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy?

  1. A tip for data visualization: the general trends should be easily observable without reading the numbers. Without this, you essentially have a table with bells and whistles.

The layout and icons do indicate the location on the field and which QB each is referring to, but you lack any visual indication regarding the quantity.

For something like this, you’d probably want some sort of color scheme to indicate the number of TDs per zone, so someone can quickly and easily see which zones each QB is throwing the most TDs to.

  2. The chiefs throw the ball at the goal line way more than most teams, skewing the data here.

  3. The Chiefs have figured out the Patriots strategy. Don’t go all out in the regular season if you have a straight shot to the playoffs. Then unleash your guys in the playoffs. I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep guys like Kelce toned back a bit until the playoffs.
