Context: US Senators from Kansas and Missouri complained new allocation policies for liver would hurt the South and Midwest and livers from their would go to the Northeast and Northwest.
I’d love to see this data up against alcohol consumption!
I’d love to hear more about the policy changes since 2020. I received a liver transplant that year. At the time they were trying to do away with the benefits of being listed at multiple transplant centers and trying to make it a more fair experience for those waiting in major cities. The south had an advantage back then.
I though this was just going to say 100% in the abdomen.
Why is kansas so low on the list?
Our Healthcare system is about 30% supporting alcohol abuse patients. We see alcoholics suck down bag after bag of blood when they get admitted to the ICU.
