Why would Russia let these companies shut shop and end the jobs of thousands of Russians? It’s not like many of these companies were doing something exceptional that Russian employees can’t continue doing on their own. If Levis shut shop in Russia, the person who took over can just continue importing the exact same clothes with a new tag from vendors in Bangladesh.

I have zero sympathy.
My feelings are exactly the same for the companies that are going to lose all their shit when China decides to conduct its imperial expansion to conquer its former colony.
