Refereeing integrity is at an all time low, inconsistency has plagued football for years and is constantly talked about, yet nothing gets done about it. VAR needs to be expanded to review second yellow incidents and PMGOL needs to start holding refs to account for poor decision making, rather than trying to move heaven and earth to defend the indefensible.
The incident with Rice, letter of the law, he’s kicked the ball away and it’s a yellow, but, the ball was rolling, therefore the free kick can’t be taken and negates the action of kicking the ball away, expanding VAR to second yellows would have spotted that. There were multiple incidents from Brightons side of kicking the ball away, no yellow, Welbeck telling the ref to book Rice is also a yellow, none given. But this happens all the time and players get away with it.
How many of the refs are from Greater Manchester?
Weird how the article leads with PL clubs **make** demands etc etc, but then says they have an upcoming meeting later in the month that **may** have discussions led around this topic.
In reality this source provided nothing, which is hardly unsurprising for the Mirror.
Literally crowbarred Arsenal into an article based on alleged comments made by other Premier league club 4 months ago.
Not wrong though. However the fallout from the Rice incident has made one thing clear.
Prem fans don’t want consistency and will find any excuse to downplay another teams grievances
Arteta is replacing Klopp as the whiner now…
it was honestly a weird yellow card, especially when u look at the replay from a different angle (posted on r/gunners)
Why can I not understand this headline? I’ve read it three times, am I just being an idiot?
Arsenal still crying
This is why fans hate arsenal, all the moaning.
>Top UEFA referee Anthony Taylor, one of the Premier League ’s top officials
Top referee indeed.
The fuck is this headline?
So Arsenal get shoehorned into a headline about MULTIPLE OTHER PREM TEAMS calling for consistency and Arsenal are the problem? The people talking shit are 1. Talking shit about SOMETHING THAT WOULD BENEFIT EVERYONE and 2. Something their own club probably supports. The absolute muppet behavior with this sport is mind boggling.
