My area used to look like that, now they’re building on everything in sight… sickening.
They’ve finished two new big housing estates near me. Wonderful but where are all kids that are going to be growing up there meant to go to school, register with a doctor etc? All we ever hear are housing targets, not all the other associated things that need to go with them.
Where’s the urban renaissance? Sprawl isn’t building sustainable communities!?
They absolutely do need to build more houses. But I think a better approach would be to build tower blocks.
Nimby behaviour is strong in the UK.
We need houses to unlock economic growth.
