  1. okay this is a genuinely lovely video. shocked by how many clips there are of her and will cuddling. that clip of george running out of the water at the end looks SO much like william omg

loved the little clip of her parents. whoever edited this did a great job. feels so authentic

  2. Very sweet. I love living next to a forest, it’s very comforting during health struggles and with a disability. I appreciate the hopeful message in such a calming environment.

  3. It’s very pretty and I’m so happy for her 🤍 I hope she stays well!!!

I think it would have been more authentic with her speaking directly to the camera, but I feel like we live in a slick ig world of “perfect family” images so this is how people prefer things

  4. This is beautiful, I appreciate that they’ve been upfront and honest which seems to keep a lot of the negative press and speculation at bay

  5. For those who do not want to watch the video the full message:

    > A message from Catherine, The Princess of Wales

    > As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.

    > The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.

    > The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.
With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.

    > This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.

    > Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus.
Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.

    > I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.

    > Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.

    > William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling.

    > To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light so let that light shine bright.

  6. Literally cried seeing this 😭 what a wonderful and inspiring video. The romantic moments bw William and Kate that we have never seen before. Blessings and good health to her

  7. Besides being lovely, this is like the smartest thing any royal family member has done in decades. You don’t have to let people in *that* much to get their support and sympathy. This maintained all of their privacy and really provided little personal detail, but it *felt* and evoked the emotion of people being part of their family. Perfectly done from a PR standpoint. From a human standpoint, I’m glad she’s done with chemotherapy and hope she remains healthy for decades to come.

  8. I suspect that Kate and Charles’s diagnoses coming at the same time really rocked their world. Not only was Kate staring her own mortality in the face, but suddenly they were made to confront the fact that Charles’s reign might be shorter than previously anticipated. So while her chemo treatment might completed, it does make sense to me that she wants to prioritize raising her kids at this moment while the future seems uncertain.

  9. Wow this is a much more intimate look at the royal family in their day to day then almost anything that’s ever been put out. I’m sure it was hard to be so open but probably did a lot to build empathy with those watching

  10. Wonderful news and an absolutely beautiful video. Loved that her parents were in it- I’m sure they have been a huge support to them all.

  11. I remember Prince Harry trying to say how Kate Middleton wasn’t a hugger or something because she wasn’t keen on being super physically affectionate when she met Meghan for the first time.

They seem perfectly normal and affectionate with each other here and it was sweet to see how comfortable and close they all are with each other. They seem like a lovely, supportive family.

I hope Kate stays in good health for many years to come.

  12. This is so weird. All that was required was a statement, or a short video of her speaking. Not this expensive, film-school nonsense meant to convince the taxpayer that Kate can’t possibly do any more work than she did before (how many hours per week? 5? 6?) because she needs to spend time in nature with her kids.

    Let the downvotes commence.

  13. Oh wow, that was surprisingly intimate. I think the high production value works for that arm’s length approach they go for. Making intimate family time look like a movie puts is a half a step out.

  14. Glad to hear she’s done with chemo.

Random question- do we think she used a cold cap, since she still has a full head of hair? I know she’s been wearing caps and wigs during her public engagements for years, but I think you have to be a little gentler with your hair if you use a chemo cold cap.
