Olivier Christen head of the French National Anti-Terrorist Dept gave an interview today about security during the Games. (see link below, turn subtitles on)
Here are some caveats:
He stated that officially 3 terrorism plots targeting the Olympics were uncovered and thwarted.
One against pubs and bars in St Etienne
Another against Israeli Institutions
The last one by 2 people in Gironde (not a lot of info on that one)
5 people have been arrested.
The sabotage of the train system isn't officially considered a terrorist attack as it doesn't completely meet the french criteria for one.
As of today, the threat of terrorist attacks remain high in France. (the rest is more domestic news)

Good work guys!
Will be interesting to find out what is the story of the train sabotage. Hopefully they will find who is responsible.
