American businessman John Textor is making “progress” in his bid to buy Everton but the club say there is “some work to be done to complete the transaction.
After that Bournemouth result, I would’ve pulled out of this deal.

I’m guessing it’s getting rid of 777 without going into Administration
Y new ownership sounds like the best solution we could hope for. Operations has been an issue for years
Didn’t he get in trouble for match fixing in Brazil?
Really glad the Club put out the statement today basically telling him to fucking shut up! Crystal Palace is a great club with an amazing fanbase, him constantly giving us lip service while he’s still got his shares in Palace is completely wrong and they don’t deserve it! We would be fuming if it was the other way around.
If you were a billionaire why would you buy Everton? Not hating but what is the thought process
Instead of this guy, wish Everton got owners like Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney who genuinely care for their club & their fans, just like Ryan & Rob did the same for Wrexham
This will go through next year. There is no way that any takeover will happen now because of the expectation to keep Everton up and away from relegation. They takeover now and Everton get relegated? Flak goes onto the owners and makes life as new owners incredibly difficult. They’re smart to wait this way because if Everton are relegated, then they can be the proverbial knights in shining armour to bring them back into the Premier League.
Proving he is both incompetent but has enough money is the trick
