  1. Things are going way too well with him- in the league, for Spain, his desire to stay long term…

Which means a career ending injury in the 95th minute of a pointless league game is around the corner. We must make a fake bomb threat every time he’s in the starting XI to save him.

  2. It helps that he was raised there and lives near his friends and family. That’s the benefit of academy players

  3. May we be so lucky as to see two multiple-Ballon d’Or winners with Barca careers spanning more than a decade.

  4. LOVE the sentiment 🔵🔴

But unfortunately those days of player power have gone, now it’s more up to the clubs than since before the Bosman days

Remember Alan Shearer? Could’ve played for Man Utd in their glory days but turned it down to become a Newcastle legend where he’d never have a similar chance of trophies

I know it’s how Messi would’ve wanted to end his [prime] career so I love hear this kind of stuff from Lamine as well !!

  5. Keep him away from serious injuries and contracts that will force us to sell him because we can’t afford to pay a Bartomeu tier salary, and we’ve got and we’ve got PLENTY of happy days ahead.

  6. That’s very humble of him to say. I’ve been impressed by his level of play, growth, and maturity since day 1. And his only 17 which is mind blowing. I can’t wait to witness the greatness he’ll performance for both club & country. 🔵🔴

  7. Who was the last big player that stayed with the club their whole career and retired, Busquets? Before then? Puyol? There’s not many, it would be some achievement and amazing for Barca.
