Putin: NATO will be ‘fighting against Russia’ if it lifts Ukraine long-range missile restrictions

Russian President Vladimir Putin is warning the West against letting Ukraine use their longer-range weapons to strike targets deep inside his country.
His comments come ahead of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s meeting with US President Joe Biden in Washington. The two leaders are expected to decide whether to allow Ukraine greater control over Western-supplied missiles.

Ukraine says Russia has attacked a civilian grain ship in the Black Sea for the first time. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the vessel – carrying Ukrainian grain to Egypt – was struck just as it left Ukrainian waters, off the coast of NATO member Romania. No one was injured.

  1. ….The West must absolutely authorize long-distance strikes to and from Russian territory… The massacres have shamefully lasted long enough… WE MUST GIVE A SEVERE LESSON TO THE RUSSIAN LEADERS SO THAT THEY CANNOT START SUCH MASSACRES AGAIN…/// L'occident doit absolument autoriser les frappes à longues distances vers et depuis le territoire russe… Les massacres ont honteusement assez durés.. IL FAUT DONNER UNE SEVERE LECON AUX DIRIGEANTS RUSSES POUR QU'ILS NE PUISSENT PUS RECOMMENCER DE TELS MASSACRES ..

  2. Hes been crying wolf so long no one should believe him. At this point Russia hasnt been able to win the war despite throwing everything at Ukraine. In what world could Russia fight a multi front war that includes Nato?

  3. I'm confused. Did Putin refer to the "war in Ukraine"? There is no war in Ukraine. How do I know? Because Vladimir Putin said so. This is a "Special Military Operation." Giving Ukraine permission to use long range missiles just makes it extra special.

  4. The good news is if NATO gets involved it will be short fight, NATO involvement will deliver a welcome change in regime, arms donations to Ukraine from other countries can then be reduced 👍.

  5. Putin has already in the past deflected his failures by claiming he's struggling against the entire West. The strike in Romanian waters could be an attempt to guarantee that, but simple military incompetence can't be ruled out.
