Lost opportunity, but this will reduce the Russian air forces reaction time to developments on the front, and put even more flight hours on aging airframes to run the same missions they were before
Wasn’t there an article out weeks ago stating Russia had already relocated a large portion of air assets out of ATACMS range?
So, back in 2023…
I wonder if that was the plan, to make the decision to allow long range strikes less impactful and hence less likely to cross a red line.
Perhaps that was the intention
So if we send stern letters about drones heading into nato countries, so can we send stern letters asking them to put the planes back?
That’s okay, it gives their air defense a longer time to shoot them down.
Late now then never. I take it
Yeah and we still don’t have permission to use those atacams inside Russia.. so another tribute to wests favorite politician
This was the plan all along, the west wanted to warn Putin. Imagine they did not and Ukraine destroyed a huge amount of aircraft at once, this would have crossed a „red line“. Unfortunately the west doesn’t want the Ukraine to win this war, they just want to keep it alive. Sullivan and all the other security consultants are cowards and still fall for the Kremlins propaganda.
Brilliant even more stress on these airframes that are dangerously close to max flight hours
Maybe this ‘no long range missiles thingy’ is just to play with media and cover up something. But truth is something else! I really hope they got the permission.
Thanks US government for prolonging the war, causing thousands more innocents to die, and cowering to impotent threats by a terrorist state. /s
Lots of blood on our hands for this one. We deserve all the backlash that hindsight will throw at us, and more.
Once again earning our “best-worst ally ever” award. At least Ukraine can join the “disgruntled ally club now”, even if NATO are too scared to allow them in. Kurds, Afghan/Iraqi translators, Vietnamese,(and quite a few more that I dont sven know about).
