Kim Jong-un hugs top Russian official Sergei Shoigu on visit to Pyongyang

North Koreaโ€™s state-run broadcaster KRT aired video footage showing top Russian security official Sergei Shoigu visiting Pyongyang.

The footage showed North Korean leader Kim Jong Un welcoming and holding a meeting with Shoigu. Kim also gave Shoigu a ride and saw him off at the airport.

Shoigu and Kim had a “wide exchange of views on regional and international situations”, and reached a satisfactory consensus on issues including more “cooperation to defend mutual safety interests”, state media said.

The United States and Ukraine among other countries, as well as independent analysts, say that Kim is helping Russia in its invasion of Ukraine by supplying rockets and missiles in return for economic and other military assistance from Moscow.

Moscow and Pyongyang have denied the accusations, but pledged to boost military cooperation and signed a comprehensive strategic partnership at a summit in June.

  1. North Korea has a rare opportunity to have the people of North Korea besafe. All they have to do is get the people to proclaim how much they want Dictator Un to be their elected leader collect the data to display how fair election work. I'm sure they would sense they don't know better or worse or even ever had a choice for that matter. When it comes down to it, these leaders lack one thing free elections. Why wouldn't they do something so simple to prove their rightful place. Becouse the leaders in power are normally the problem and normally not the people of a that nation. Mic Drop!
