Putin warns that lifting Ukraine missile restrictions will put Nato at war with Russia
The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has warned that lifting long-range missile restrictions on Ukraine would mean that Nato countries would be at war with Russia.

Taking questions from reporters in Moscow, Putin said: ‘If this decision is made, it will mean nothing less than the direct participation of Nato countries, the United States, and European countries in the war in Ukraine.’ That would mean they were ‘fighting Russia’, he added.
Putin’s comments came as the US and UK were weighing lifting a block on Ukraine using their missiles to hit targets inside Russia amid fears of the war escalating

The Guardian at least publishes the whole declaration, including the crucial reasoning at the beginning. Most of the western media have left that out. They apparently don't want their audiences to know that Putin is just stating obvious facts and not issuing any wild threats.
