I think it does provoke china. But Taiwan deserves its independence and as we saw with Hong Kong at some point China is going to impose its rule when it believes it has control.
China has enough country size. We need to find more ways to live in peace. Hopefully a conversation can be had that arrives at an arrangement
Why are you asking about the provocation of China and not about China's provocation of its neighbours.
In the interest of peace, ALL the nations of the United Nations should vote on the matter, but the votes should be counted as one vote per million inhabitants population per country. And those votes should come straight from the political representatives of those populations. The WORLD should decide where to sail and where not to sail, and even environmental needs could be taken into account.
China seems nervous and having little resilience. If they were sure of themselves, they wouldn't have to react that way.
