  1. Reminder that [Starmer has taken more gifts](https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/keir-starmer-freebies-junkets-tottenham-hotspur-chelsea-coldplay-adele-google/) as Labour leader than all Labour leaders since 1997 combined. No 10 has also [hired someone](https://www.ft.com/content/5f0ec7d0-2c14-48b0-955f-462009dbe399) who worked in Labour Together to work on the **ETHICS** group for Whitehall. No wonder there will be no inquiry or investigation into other accusations of cronyism or corruption.

  2. She might as well wear Boris’ old wallpaper and Labour won’t notice.

Kier will be kicked out within 12 months, easy.

  3. Well, this is definitely a good look for a former public prosecutor now a Labour party PM only 4 months in the job.

  4. Well we can all sleep soundly knowing that Starmer is obviously devastated over this, since handouts lack the dignity of wages after all.

  5. Maybe a tax on gifts to MPs and their immediate family will help fix the deficit, we’re all in this together after all!

  6. Well, all my hope has left me for this Labour government. You just know it’s going to get much worse over the next few years after this start.

  7. As a lowly teacher, can I hit this guy up for some free clothes? I mean, is he handing out freebies willy nilly? Shall we just ALL ask him? How far does his philanthropic nature stretch? I could be fun on a shopping spree…

  9. Working I a fair sized company (10k people world-wide). We have annual ethics training and very strict rules on what can be accepted and from whom, and it’s a damned sight less than they have been accepting!

  10. Just remember kids. You voted for this shite. You are responsible for it.

    Thiiiiiings can only get better….

  11. Well I argued for several tories losing their jobs over less so I would be a total piece of shit if I didn’t advocate for Kier’s P45 to arrive pronto.

  12. Hold them all accountable, we wouldn’t stand for this from a Tory, we shouldn’t stand for it from a Red Tory

  13. How utterly avoidable was this PR nightmare? Surely you expect a Labour PM to be able to do the basics properly?

And just how does this world of politics work ffs?

Lord Alli: Can I pay for your wife’s clothes and then pay for their alterations?

Starmer: That seems like a perfectly normal, non creepy suggestion, go for it!

  14. Like 3 months into the job and already looking dirty. Can’t wait to see how much dirtier he will be at the end of the Labour government once Reform or Tories come swinging back in 5 years.

  15. This is what is to be expected of British politicians. It’s no wonder people like Mone and Sturgeon thought they’d get away with it when the likes of Kwarteng and Hancock charge for a day’s ‘consultancy’ the kind of money many people net in six months, and all the others are accepting ‘gifts’.

  16. Starmer trying to speed run and outdo 14 years of Tory rule.

It’s a good job that he doesn’t mind being unpopular because he really is blazing a trail lol
