Ambitious Ukrainian Kamikaze Drone Attack Hits Heavy Bomber Base Deep Inside Russia. Recent satellite imagery shows there were bombers on the tarmac recently, but actual damage to one of the Kremlin’s biggest military airfields isn’t clear. The base is well outside of US ATACMS range.

  1. So.. in reading I unfortunately don’t really see proof of much? Ground fires in grass and larger fire at munitions storage BUT that was before strike?

  2. I bet that after the Kursk breach, they were able to send special forces to basically anywhere inside Russia

  3. I’m wondering if there is (are) specialized units working behind the front to attack using drones. Russians would not be prepared, or not well prepared for such an attack.

  4. US: No, you can’t use our weapons on Russian airbases, We don’t want escalation.
Ukraine: Fine, I’ll do it myself.

  5. I hope there is some transfer of knowledge, in both directions. The whole NATO can check how their material and tactics perfom in real combat. And Ukraine learn how to transform a sovjet style army into a NATO style army.

  6. Hopefully they took out at least one strategic bomber and maybe some missiles as an added bonus. Just one bomber may not sound like much any strategic bomber destroyed would not be replaced cheaply nor quickly.
