Found iPhone – Kentish Town

Found an iPhone in an e-bike in Kentish Town. No emergency contacts and nobody called to claim it so it’s at Kentish Town police station. Faces blocked for privacy but if it’s yours you’ll recognise it.

  1. Keep hold of it for a couple of days and if no one rings it trying to find who has it, hand it to the police. I returned a phone I’d found after his dad rang it the next morning.

  2. Keep it switched on and charged hopefully they will call it or one of their friends so u can tell them ⭐️

  3. Honestly I feel best way of getting it back to someone is just keep it and answer the phone when it rings. The police don’t have time to stop crime let alone get someone their phone back.

I found some AirPod pros on the tube last year and the owner was able to share his number with me when I connected to them later. Zero chance of TFL returning them….

  4. I would take it into an Apple store. That way they can directly identify the owner and get it back to them.

  5. Turn it off silent and someone will ring it.

I found a phone and the sister of the chef of my local pub phoned so I dropped it back off at the pub and got a free pint.

  6. Take a photo of the wallpaper and put into google image search – you might find a Facebook profile or something

  7. Hold down the power button and the volume up key until it shows a screen asking if you want to power down. Under that it will say ‘medical ID’.

If the owner has it set up it will show who they are and provide the numbers of emergency contacts.

  8. You can usually use Siri without unlocking the phone, hold the lock button until the Siri logo appears and try things like “call mum” or “call dad” or “call bro” etc. failing that just pick a super common name like Steve or Jack or Katie until one starts calling and answers and just explain the situation

  9. Hi if you click “Emergency” bottom left of the passcode screen it should give you the number for the person’s emergency contact. Try giving them a ring! ☺️

  10. “Hey siri, call home” worked for me when I found an iPhone on a train… sent it back to the address with a business card… they sent me back a lottery ticket… and I won a tenner!!!
