Help me choose between these two beautiful cities.
September 18, 2024
My company just offered me a promotion and I will have to relocate in one of these two beautiful european cities. Can someone help me? Which one is the safest? I think that the quality of life in Chernobyl is much higher than Birmingham.

You can get a decent curry in Birmingham apparently.
Might also be true in Chernobyl, but probably not.
Chernobyl will kill you slower
When in Chernobyl, one simply must go and touch the Elephant’s Foot for luck.
The bottom picture is Jaywick in Essex. At least use an accurate picture for Birmingham:
Was your country not trying to flog houses for £1?
Oh no! We should build a massiv shelter around it, in order to stop the spread of Barrys!
There are a few (mostly elderly) people living in Chernobyl, it’s not that bad. Not even a single Barry in sight to ruin the day. Although (bela)russians might be an issue.
One is a desolate wasteland inhabited by mutants. Chernobyl seems to be doing a little better these days though.
Chernobyl has thriving biodiversity
Honestly I think Ukraine has better food
If you pick Chernobyl you will at least live in a civilized country
Chernobyl is less toxic.
Thats not Birmingham.
Thats the notorious shanty town Jaywick
One is infested by demented mutants…..the other one is famous for a nuclear meltdown
I heard some people from the east stuffed the whole place with mines so if you ignore that and the artillery maybe being pointed at thst area you’re good
Chernobyl has gorgeous landscapes and nature, and isn’t crowded at all. It’s so quiet, some call it a ghost town
Chernobyl has kind people and lovely nature.
Birmingham is a nuclear wasteland in comparison
The bottom image is actually Jaywick-on-sea the poorest town in Britain, and one of the worst slums in Britain. Though some people live well there the vast majority don’t.
As for Chernobyl, it’s not a city, it’s a nuclear plant, so in your title of 2 things, both are lies.
A true Italian. Cheers guiseppe.
Well they both have their ups and downs.
Chernobyl has a pretty available housing market. But you will have to deal with the local pests, occasionally a stray vatnik will start digging trenches in your backyard.
Up sides of Birmingham? At least it is not Bradford
its pripyat akshually 🤓
One city was devasted by a nuclear desaster and is located in a country that is currently at war with Russia and the other city is Birmingham.
So the choice is obvious isn’t it?
I hate to be a smartass, but Chernobyl is just the name of the power plant. The city you are referring to is called Pripyat.
Chernobyl isn’t a city, it’s the nuclear plant within the city of Pripyat.
Everybody knows why Chernobyl looks like this, but why Birmingham turned out like this is more disturbing.
Chernobil has more nature
I spent 3 weeks studying english in Birmingham’s college and I liked the city
Chernobyl has much more interesting wildlife.
They may look similar but Chernobyl is the clear winner once you factor in the differing levels of toxic pollution.
thats birmingham usa.
What happened to Birmingham? Is it a bit like Detroit where work dried up when we shipped everything over to China? Or was it earlier?
It used to be booming right?
I would definitely choose Chernobyl, simply because people there are more understandable when they speak English
As some who has been to Birmingham I will say this,
I won’t be going again.
Cheers.
Both have been abandoned by their native populations and left to rot, but you could always ask one of the thousands of your countrymen who inexplicably chose to move to B*rmingham
