Support for Ukraine guarantees the survival of neighbouring Moldova, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said at a conference to address concerns about broadening Russian interference in the region. And she warned that if Ukraine falls, “Moldova is the next country in line.” Moldova, which has a Romanian-speaking majority and large Russian-speaking minority, has alternated between pro-Russian and pro-Western governments since the fall of the Soviet Union, and now has a strong Western-oriented administration.   1. ofcourse russia was since the fall of berlin wall going west taking in germsny ,holand belgie, whoops sorry i made a mistake; it was the west, who went east and took the eastern block under the nato umbrella, and if there was a resistance then have a coup organised(in ukraine) no wonder russia put a stop to that certainly not unprovoked. by the way this is an englishman speaking which is highly subjective view.
