  1. They are now fighting to settle down the relegation battle. If they found guilty they are cooked.

  2. This section made me laugh:

“Some people I spoke to are convinced that, no matter what happens, Man City won’t lose any titles. It’s just too big a club. It’s won the league for the past four seasons in a row. It’s Man City!”

Too big? Sorry but no one is too big, especially not city. Tin pot club propped up by oil money from an overseas power we are reliant on.

And THAT is why they will get away with it, the club is owned by a foreign power that we spend billions of quid on for oil. they aren’t too big, just their sugar daddies are.

  3. >Man City’s legal team is a lot like its star-studded array of footballers. Much has been made of the fact its lead lawyer—Lord Pannick—reportedly earns as much an hour as the club’s best player, Erling Haaland. The Premier League has its legal heavyweights as well. Oddly, some of them work at the same firm. Bet their Christmas party is a craic.

Lol no conflict of interest there.

  4. ‘Nother day, another ‘fill the news vacuum’ story because it’s a closed hearing/session.

Things must be real slow if Bloomberg’s pumping rubbish out like this.

Spurs under Ange have a greater chance of winning…something, than City getting more than three points deduction and a one-year transfer ban.

  5. The comparison to Juve was a bad one. Match fixing risks the integrity of the league and is a massive risk for people to stop watching your product.

City haven’t done that, they broke financial rules to get a competetive edge, not everything needs to be binary.

The PL has an intrinsic motivation to not relegate City and strip titles – it diminishes their product. Man City are a big team who win the league every year and get good viewership figures on the tele.

I agree with the author, the most likely outcome for me is a fine.

  6. Id be surprised if they get anything more than a transfer ban for 1 or 2 years and a fine, maybe a point deduction. League expulsion isnt going to happen, demoting them to the national league isnt going to happen, stripping them of titles while would be a nice thing more than likely wont happen so short of them doing the above, the only other thing that perhaps they might consider is forcing the team to be sold, which I really doubt but stranger things have happened recently. I just wish this was done with so we can just enjoy the game and yell at VAR as is the new tradition.

  7. They’ll get a fine and some points deductions this season or next season.

Every other punishment such as relegation, stripping titles etc is a massive logistical nightmare.

  8. They’re owned by people with unlimited money who have never heard the word “no” in their lives, they aren’t going to settle.
