  1. Can we have a moment of silence for the residents of Cirencester & Faringdon? They would appear to have been frazzled.

  2. I’m smack in the middle and it just passed over. Bloody amazing! I have never been in a thunderstorm that strong. Constant rumbling thunder, massive booms from nearby lightning and hammering down with rain. Went on for about 45 minutes?

Also shoutout to my neighbour who, for some reason, stuck their hand out the window to spray window cleaner in the middle of this. I’m not sure that’ll work as intended but hey, smarter not harder etc etc.

  3. Right in the middle of this and was convinced the hail was going to smash my windscreen. Absolutely biblical.

  4. Another one who’s currently In the middle of this. Within minutes roads in Matson turned into small rivers and drains erupted like geysers. Was pretty crazy. Now up in Tewkesbury and it’s being smote hard

  5. I had that storm around lunchtime in Reading, I was amazed there was so much hail in September

  6. Why do we NEVER get the good storms where I am. Gah! And me with this badly assembled collection of body parts that needs animating as well.

  7. What’s the website that you show?; I think we are due a storm up here in Lancashire and it would be cool to follow it.

  8. We’re in Oxford. Had a few drops and a little distant thunder but that’s it. Absolutely nothing to write home about.

  9. I live in Gloucester, right in the bloody white there! It’s still raging on hard and I love it. Had to cycle home and was just laughing out of sheer terror with every strike.

  10. Annoyingly i was working and thought the noise was just people playing sports as i was working in an event room in a sports centre from 2pm-4pm, and also drilling holes in a wall, so i missed the most exciting part. Instead i caught the end of the rumblies as blue sky started to reappear…………… I love a good storm 🙁

  11. Mental in Gloucester this afternoon, never known thunder and lightning to go on two hours straight.

  12. We never get it here in the Midlands. Last time it was promised I watched the tracker avidly and saw it veer east a few miles before it reached us.

  13. Dude I was kinda looking forward to the storm, but I was in oxford and it was dry as hell. Most I got was higher humidity

  14. I got caught in that, was a little bit hairy for a short while. Roads were so badly flooded that I couldn’t see the centre line markings, which is always a bad sign.
