Democracy in a nutshell. But then again, are you making the case for dictatorships being better because they can execute war more efficiently?
I choose democracy, warts and all.
Russia is undeniably evil!
The US is just trying to avoid a nuclear escalation. The longer they wait the weaker Russia gets. Same with China. The US also doesn’t want to be perceived as a bully. Entire countries exist that blame the US for all its problems.
death by escalation management could be seen as an anti-pattern similiar to the classical anti‐pattern of analysis paralysis. too many risk management and planning results allows the enemy too much to build up defenses.
