Washing Machine Connections

Hi everyone,

I've just moved into my first rented apartment in Germany and need to buy a washing machine. However, I see only one connection (please refer to the attached picture), which I believe is for the water inlet. I'm a bit confused about how to arrange the water outlet. Should the outlet hose be placed in the toilet?

There is another unit below the inlet tap that I haven't opened yet because it's screwed shut (you can see it in the picture I took through the opening at the bottom). Could this be for the water outlet?

Also, is it okay to ask my landlord about such things, or would that be bothersome?
