19. Your characterization of Tinian and the Northern Marianas is a little off. Tinian is just a little north of Guam in the middle of the Marianas. I wouldn't call the Marianas sparsely populated since Guam has about 174 thousand people on it. Also, it is only remote in the sense Hawaii is remote – it is surrounded by ocean, but it already has a huge US military presence with both a large Naval and Airforce base on Guam.
