I’ve seen lamppost chargers but what is that? Underground bollard charger? Is this installed by the council?
Looks like a self-destruct rod from the USCSS Nostromo.
Not great if you are blind or partially sighted and walking along the road. I suppose same territory if much of the street furniture they already have to navigate.

This is a good idea. Cable could benefit from having reflective strips on it however.
Instead, some councils decide a large billboard advertising style charging station is the way to go. So that it’s not only bright, loud (cooling system for the screen), but can also bombard your brain with subliminal messages. Oh and it only has one plug. Well done society.
