  1. >Ukrainian operators of kamikaze drones massively destroy Russian reconnaissance UAVs all over the front, including in the Kursk region, and force the occupiers to install rear-view cameras on them.

Third image presumably shows an Orlan-10 with such a camera installed.

  2. How’s that gonna help? Ruzzian soldiers can also see the FPV drones, but that doesn’t change their fate

  3. What’s next?. Little turrets on the back? Then the attack drones will get lasers. Then the recon drones will get little mirrors. And then?

  4. You have to add armor

Vision is an extension of the weapon

WW2 aircraft are useless even if they have gunners

    Must have armor like IL2

Don’t use speed. ME262 will be shot down just as fast as it is fast.

Don’t be flexible. The Zero is very flexible but not armored.

To face 1 kilogram of explosives, you must have at least 1 inch of armor

  5. lol they wired in an fpv camera with a seperate transmitter. I wonder how well this works, I assume these operate over longer distances than your regular fpv drone, would the singal still reach the operator? does it interfere with the standard signal on the drone? They also seem to have equipped it with a directional antenna to improve range. The downside is that it only works if the antenna is pointing towards the receiver. So if the drone turns they lose signal…

  6. Ivan also has to install the reversing beep, there are Ukrainian drones coming from behind without warning

  7. This is just the next progression. We laugh now, but this will likely become the norm from all sides.

Remember how we laughed at tank cope cages? Ukraine now uses them too.

My only takeaway from this is the sense that Russia is reacting to a big problem. It’s always good when they have a problem.

  8. Fascinating to watch the speed of iteration, countermeasures and counter-countermeasures in this war. I get the feeling that even major tech advances give a brief window of advantage.

  9. It seems the Russians like that rear view as they take it up the A. Now they can ask for a complementary “reach around”.

  10. On a side note, if I had a travel trailer, and I wanted to remote view a rear facing camera, have these guys come up with a cheaper wireless dashcam?

  11. lol, that’s not going to stop the Ukrainians from taking down Russian drones. Nothing can stop Ukrainians from doing this, they’re smarter and more cunning than what’s left of Russia’s military. Hey let’s put a rear view camera on the drone so we can see what’s behind it. It won’t see a drone above/below/sides. All they’ve done is added the ability to see the drone that’s about to take it down. Oh Putin, when will you learn?

  12. Kind of funny, I was wondering if the Russians thought about this since they lost so many recently in drone on drone action.
