Apparently these "drone mines" are detonated remotely by the operators, but there is also a possibility of remote detonation

Air mobile land mines. You think they would see them, and not drive over them, but, Ivan is probably like gopher! Drive over it!
The next innovation will be to disguise them or drop something that looks like a rock, bit of trash etc
