I don’t remember a president in recent decades who had such a negative publicity without being associated with a massive scandal.
As an American/Canadian with managerial government experience, I cringe at 90% of the government operations of Cyprus. It’s clear to me that Christodoulides is a “PR President” – he is all about looking smart, looking organized, and looking like he is working. But in reality, his administration are making the same mistakes as dysfunctional governments in the developing world, and “trying new things” that the US & Canada already tried, which didn’t work. It’s painful to watch.
And the worst part is that there have been NGO/non-profit projects from both the US and EU that have offered immense assistance to Cyprus, and yet, the president’s administration says no. Why? I don’t know, probably because he wants all the credit to himself, even though he is failing to change anything.
A fucking turd would be more useful as a president than this guy…
What a surprise. The man who got elected on the premise of doing nothing, does nothing (and even does it badly).
What a surprise. The man who has been in so many corruption scandals as a part of the government is also involved in corruption scandals.
I’ve never seen someone do so little while in charge and still do it in a way it alienates everyone bar his strong supporters (who are now in a very comfy government position I might add). The weird thing is that he hasn’t exactly done anything wrong, he just does not do anything worth of note and anything worth of note he might have done is overshadowed by corruption allegations.

As it should. He’s had a pretty poor term so far.
